20 Years of Impact
In 2006, a founding committee sought to create a Georgia Tech community characterized by Dr. Gregory Nobles, a committee member, as an “Institute-wide incubator for intellectual inquiry and engagement.” Under the leadership of Dr. Nobles, the Honors Program aimed to deliver inquiry-based, interdisciplinary classes, co-curricular activities, and the Student Challenge Fund to support student-initiated project proposals for a cohort of 95 students.

Emily Weigel
Dr. Weigel (BIO '10) was part of the inaugural graduating class of the Georgia Tech Honors Program where she received mentorship from honors faculty members Dr. Nick Hud and Dr. Greg Nobles.
Melody Lee
Melody Lee, a third-year Computer Science major with minors in Mathematics and Physics, was named a 2026 recipient of the prestigious Barry Goldwater Scholarship.
Kantwon Rogers
Dr. Rogers is a Quadruple Jacket, having received his BS Computer Engineering in 2015, his MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2016, his MS in Human-Computer Interaction in 2018, and his PhD in Computer Science in 2024.
Dhruv Narang
Dhruv Narang, a third-year Mechanical Engineering major, won the 2026 InVenture Prize People’s Choice Award as a cofounder of DoorTix, a ticket-buying concierge service that gets you tickets at the best prices while lowering your stress throughout the process.
